Transportation support may increase retention ratio of girls in rural areas in secondary schools. This was discussed in distribution of students' kits among the 50 girls from 7 remote rural villages enrolled in 3 government girls high schools of district Tando Muhammad Khan including GGHS Shaikh Bhirkio, GGHS Nazarpur, GGHS Nazarpur. The ceremony was organized by Sindh Community Foundation in cooperation with Mundo Cooperante at Government Girls High School Tando Muhammad Khan.
Javed Hussain head of SCF said that education is the right of the children; girls should be provided better education as without education any society can not survive. He said that his organization providing transportation support to the girls enrolled in rural areas and belongs with very poor families who otherwise unable to bear the costs of transportation so thus girl left schools due to poverty. He said the secondary schools mostly are away from the villages so there is need to provide transportation to create their access to education.
