Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has reacted to increase in the prices of medicines and termed the government's decision an enmity with the nation. Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, the spokesman for Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, said that the constant increase in prices of goods is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. He said that the government first snatched the calm of the people and is now snatching lives by increasing the prices of medicines.
Senator Khokhar said that the government's only performance has been stripping the people off the facilities provided to them. In disguise of claims of providing people with five million houses, the government has only rendered people homeless, he said.
He said that the government's conduct has been disappointing and it is only a matter of time that the people of Pakistan will start protesting against the injustice and biased attitude of the PTI rule. The government has proven itself to be a destructive tsunami, he concluded.
PPP Secretary General Farhatullah Babar said that the PTI government is increasing the prices of commodities everyday. He said that the lives of the people are in miserable condition due to price hike. While criticising the PTI government for increasing prices of medicines by 15 percent, he said that the PTI made tall claims of health facilities before coming into power and now the medicines have become unapproachable for the poor people. He said that the prices of life-saving medicines have also been increased.
