Christmas gives message of love, peace

MULTAN: Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Ejaz Aalam said that Christmas gave message of love and peace.

Addressing a ceremony at Saint Cathedral Church here on Tuesday, he said, "We have to continue efforts for the promotion of happiness and pleasures in the society and the PTI government strongly believe in equality." He said that Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar had announced Rs 30 million for the poor and deserving Christians. An amount of Rs 25 million was given to Christian students, Ejaz Aalam said.

He informed that the government would improve security, lighting and cleanliness of churches. He further said that minorities empowerment package would be increased.

In his address, Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik said that Christmas would be marked with fervour. He stated that his doors were always open for minorities.

MPA Mahindar Pal, Bishop Leodrak Pal, Sarfraz Clament and others were also present.
