HANOI: Vietnam, the world's top robusta coffee producer, is expected to export 100,000 tonnes to 180,000 tonnes (1.67 million to 3 million 60-kg bags) of coffee in December, traders said on Thursday.
The wide range of estimates came as Vietnam is in the middle of its peak harvest for the 2018/2019 crop year, but local farmers and traders were unwilling to sell much due to falling prices.
Vietnam's coffee exports in November were estimated by the government at 140,000 tonnes. The actual coffee export data for November is scheduled to be released on Dec. 10.
