FIA nabs HESCO employee for cyber crime

HYDERABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Hyderabad arrested Hyderabad Electric Supply Company's (HESCO) Line Superintendent for a cyber crime offense of recording objectionable videos and photographs of a woman in the first FIR of cyber crime lodged in Hyderabad.

The LS of Citizen Colony sub-division of Qasimabad Khalil Ahmed Memon, booked under section 21 of Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016, was also allegedly blackmailing the woman.

An FIA official told that Memon was arrested from a place in Qasimabad after registration of FIR against him on complaint of a woman on November 22.

According to the FIR, Memon threatened the woman that he would upload her videos and photographs on the social media if she did not accept his immoral demands.
