Pakistan rising star Imam-ul Haq has cleared that he wants to be recognised and accepted as ‘Imam-ul-Haq’ first and then Inzamam's nephew.

The talented opener expressed these views while talking to media in Dubai, where Pakistan team and five other nations are waiting for the Asia Cup 2018 kickoff.

The 22-year-old said “I want to be recognized and accepted as Imam-ul-Haq first and then Inzamam's nephew after that, and yes he is my uncle and it's not my fault.”

Imam gave his credit of success to his family. “I have scored 4 hundreds in 9 ODIs and credit goes to my family for their support, to the management as they have also supported me, so what the media says has never mattered to me.”

Commenting on the crucial and highly anticipated game against India he said, “All matches are same for me whether its Hong Kong or India; my pressure levels will be the same in all games.”

“We are looking at each match and opponent and preparing for that game and not only worrying about India.”

Like others, he also have a firm believe that Kohli’s absence will make the difference in the game. “India is a very good team but the absence of Virat Kohli will make a difference.”

He rules out the psychological advantage against India by saying, “There is no psychological advantage from any past games when it comes to India Pakistan games.”

“We just want to play aggressive cricket which is how we have been taught and the performances since Champions Trophy are examples of that, he added. You have to really control your nerves in India Pakistan games as things can easily go against you in such matches.”

Pakistan and India are schedule to lock horns against each other on September 19.

“It would be great if we can also win the Asia Cup but it won’t be about winning it for the PM Imran Khan but it will allow our nation which loves cricket to celebrate,” he added.

Pakistan will start their Asia Cup 2018 campaign against Hong Kong on September 16.
