Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Senator Rehman Malik on Monday demanded the government to form a committee headed by chairman Senate Raza Rabbani comprising parliamentarians belonging to all political parties to probe into Panama Papers' leaks. Talking to reporters outside parliament house, Malik, who is also one of the accused in holding shares of a company Petroline International Inc, rejected the allegations, saying there is no truth in Panama Leaks revelations.
It's a RAW conspiracy to destabilise Pakistan, which he said, is being done to create anarchy inside Pakistan by destabilising the political government. "The enemies of Pakistan can't see Pakistan as a stable and democratic state...we completed our five-year term and we want the incumbent government to complete its five years," he added. The former interior minister also said that he, along with the leadership of his party would make some startling revelations in days to come about Panama Leaks, adding the political forces of the country should get united against the ill-motives of the enemies. Responding to a question, he said we made enough commissions under retired judges and the time has come that the parliamentarians should be made in-charge of such panels. "There are so many credible people such as Raza Rabbani who should be given the task to probe into the matter," he added. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Sirajul Haq said that his party has decided to hold protest against the government on April 23 and 24 from Peshawar and Lahore, respectively. "The nation should be told why the children of prime minister are holding offshore companies abroad," he added. He said that his party has rejected the inquiry commission announced by the prime minister, adding we will take to the street against the government against this economic terrorism. "The economic terrorism is more serious a crime than what we are facing in this country. We should also fight against this menace and the prime minister should declare his assets," he added.
