Musarrat Ali of Sargodha University bagged four individual gold medals by sweeping the female events part of the ongoing All-Pakistan Inter-University Athletic Championship being played here at Tartan Track of the Qayyum Sports Complex Wednesday.
Dr Salahuddin Chairman, Sports Science Department Gomal University, was the chief guest on this occasion at the cash presentation ceremony.
Director Sports and Organising Secretary Bahre Karam, Director Meet Farooq Hussain, international technical officials and international athlete Muhammad Shah, South Asian Gold Medalist Iltaf Khan, officials, male and female players were also present on this occasion.
Musarrat of University of Sargodha bagged gold medals in the 100m race and become the fastest female athlete of the Meet, followed by Turab of Punjab University and Shafaq of Iqra University got bronze medal.
After winning gold medal in 100m, she also grabbed gold medal in 100m hurdles by clocking a time of 16.57sec, followed by Amina of Punjab University with her clock showing 16.87sec and Mehvish Urooj of Lahore College for Women University with her clock showing 19.54sec.
Musarrat was the pick of the pack she won another gold medal in 400m flat race when Musarrat won another gold medal, followed by Alams and Bisma of Lahore College. Musarrat won 400m hurdles with a time of 1.06.94, followed by Farkra of Punjab University and Asma of Lahore College for Women University won bronze medal.
In the 110m hurdles men Mohsin of GCU Lahore won gold medal, followed by Mujahid Nazir of UCP and Khalid of University of Peshawar. In the Pole Volt Men Kafayat of University of Center Punjab won gold medal, followed by Shahid Nawaz of Punjab University and Adeel of Superior University.
In the High Jump Women Asma of Lahore College for Women University won gold medal, followed by Nighat of ICBS and Nabila and Mehvish Urooj of BZU remained at joint third.
In the short put Sadia Khalid of MUST AJK won gold medal, followed by Qandil of Punjab University and Hina Main of Karachi University, in the Women 800m Bisma Afzal of Lahore College for Women University, Almas Ibrahim of Iqra University and Saba Yousaf of IU Bahawalpur.
In the Women Long Jump Amina of Punjab University, Nighat Kausar of ICBU Lahore and Hamaiza of Punjab University took gold, silver and bronze medals.
The is a tough battle continue for the overall trophy in male between Punjab University and University of Central Punjab while in female PU and Lahore College for Women also in run for the overall trophy in female.
