SSUET organises discussion on teaching methodology

Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology organised a talk on "Teaching Methodology" at the campus and the eminent scholar Professor Dr Arshad Syed Karim highlighted the salient features of how to adopt effective teaching methods to make students learn easily and comfortably.
Speaking on the occasion, Chancellor Sir Syed University, Jawaid Anwar, said thirst for knowledge is in fact the life of knowledge. He urged to adopt the practice of teaching that makes students learn properly and effectively according to their mental level and capacity, so that they would easily absorb knowledge.
Chancellor Jawaid Anwar said there was a gap in faculty training and to cope with it, we approached the noted scholar and professional Professor Dr Arshad Syed Karim to train and strengthened our faculty with modern teaching methodology. Karim initiated many short courses in the universities like Islamic University (Islamabad), Gujrat University etc for faculty training.
Professor Dr Arshad Syed Karim was of view that knowledge can be transferred but not wisdom, rather it can be developed. Teachers should aim to apply student-centered learning methodologies and endeavour to grapple with how to best structure and deliver courses meeting the needs of the millennial generation who extensively utilise social media and other technologies. Earlier Registrar Mumtaz ul Imam introduced the guest to the participants. Chancellor Jawaid Anwar presented the SSUET souvenir to the guest speaker.-PR
