An unbeaten 58-ball 80 runs by opener Tameem Iqbal helped Peshawar Zalmi to beat Islamabad United in an HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) match at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday night. Peshawar Zalmi successfully chased down the 153-run target set by United in 19th over at the loss of only three wickets. Mohammad Hafeez scored 25 and Shahid Yousuf an unbeaten 19-ball 27 runs for Zalmi. Tameem was declared man of the match.
United's Khalid Latif's 59 off 41 deliveries helped them score 152-6 in front of a capacity crowd. Captain Misbah-ul-Haq scored 32 runs. United's openers Shane Watson (19) and Sharjeel Khan (28) provided their team with a good start, but rest of the batsmen failed to capitalise on the momentum set by Latif and Misbah.
