Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Hyderabad activists with other Shia organisations including women and children staged a protest sit-in on Sunday against execution of Shia cleric Nimr al-Nimr and others in Saudi Arabia. They shouted slogans against Al-Saud. They carried banners and placards inscribed with anti-Saudi government slogans outside the Hyderabad Press Club.
The protest rally led by MWM leader Gul Hassan Murtzvi, Jafferia Alliance Pakistan leader Shamim Naqvi and others including Allama Noor Hassan, Allama Anwer Ali and others strongly condemned execution of 47 people including a prominent Shia cleric Nimr al-Nimr. They appealed to the World powers to take notice of this. They highlighted services of the cleric.
