Police on Thursday claimed to have killed six terrorists associated with a banned organisation during an encounter that took place near Filter Plant, Orangi Town. Two policemen also sustained bullet injuries during the course of action. According to police sources, the raid was conducted on a tip-off about the presence of terrorists. The miscreants instead of surrendering themselves opened firing on seeing of law enforcers injuring two policemen.
In retaliatory firing by police, six alleged terrorists were killed on the spot. More police forces were called on the crime scene to assist the law enforcers and cordoned off the area. The identifications of the deceased terrorists could not be ascertained till filing of the report. Their bodies were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital ASH for medico-legal formalities.
