Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch and JI Information Secretary, Ameerul Azeem, have strongly condemned the attack at the GEO News DSNG van, and the assassination of senior journalist Aftab Alam and GEO news worker Arshad Ali Ja'fary in Karachi.
They said that the repeated attacks on the media men were most unfortunate and a question mark on the performance of the government. They called upon the government to trace those responsible for these killings and award them deterrent punishment. They prayed for the departed souls and expressed full sympathies with the bereaved families. The JI leaders also expressed condolences on the demise of the wife of PML-(N) leader Senator Raja Zafarul Haq.
