A rising trend persisted on the grain market on Wednesday in the process of hectic trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Moong Punjab was higher by Rs 500 to Rs 9500, Urad Burma followed same pattern, gaining Rs 250 to Rs 13750 and wheat Bardan, however, lost Rs 100 to Rs 3150, they said.
On the grams sector, grams Australia No 1 picked up Rs 100 to Rs 8500, grams Australia No 2 gained the same amount to Rs 9300, grams 50x50 low variety was unchanged at Rs 8375 and the best variety rose by Rs 250 to Rs 8750 and grams Dall 50x50 low type was higher by Rs 500 to Rs 8900 and the good variety was up by Rs 150 to Rs 9100, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh low type shed Rs 20 to Rs 2800 and the good type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2850, other types maintained overnight levels, they said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh new gained Rs 50 to Rs 1775 and Rs 1800, other items were unmoved due to balanced demand and supply, they said.
