A rising trend prevailed on the local grain market on Monday in the process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, Makai low type was higher by Rs 250 to Rs 2125 and the best variety was higher by Rs 125 to Rs 2250, Barley Sindh and Mardan low types were down by Rs 25 to Rs 3225 and the fine variety was lower by Rs 50 to Rs 3250, other commodities held the overnight levels, they said.
On the grams side, Bajra inferior quality was unchanged at Rs 2900 while the good type rose by Rs 200 to Rs 4500, they added. On the seeds side, castor seeds Lasbela gained Rs 100 to Rs 3000 and castor seed Lakhra also picked up the same amount to Rs 3100, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (old) low type was up by Rs 50 to Rs 1600 and Rs 1700, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh (new) quoted higher at Rs 1700, they added. Prices were unchanged on the rice sector, they said.
