Five persons were killed and four other including three minor brothers injured in a head on collision between a jeep and commuter-pick up at Gogdara, Peshawar-Mingora Road Swat on Sunday. In the incident a father was died while his three minor children sustained injuries.
The unfortunate Suzuki pick up and speedy jeep collided at Gogdara resulting in the killing of driver Mustajab son of Ajab Khan, resident of Qambar, Anwar-ul-Haq son of Khair Mohammad, resident of Maniyar, Abdul Samad son of Manjawar resident of Punchigram, Feroz son of Kameen, resident of Tando Dag and Shah Hassan son of Dilbar, resident of Tando Dag died on the spot while three minors included Ilyas, Sanaullah, Abbas and Haider Ali sons of Gulzada injured.
The injured were rushed to Saidu Sharif Hospital. After the accident, driver of the jeep managed his escape. Police Station Rahimabad has registered FIR against the jeep driver.
Meanwhile, 27 persons were injured in fighting over minor issues. Since the start of Ramazan 77 persons have been injured in quarrelling over pity issues in the district.
Fighting and exchange of hot words among the people has become a routine matter in Ramazan and different police stations have registered about two dozens FIRs in this regard.
