After successful tour of Zimbabwe for two Twenty20 and three One-Day Internationals in May, the Pakistan Cricket Board is in talks with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh cricket authorities for short tours to the country, it is learnt. Board sources claim that the board had invited Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for a tour next year. Zimbabwe cricket officials had expressed satisfaction over their visit.
Cricket fans after six years got the opportunity to see excellent cricket and this series will play a key role in the revival of international cricket in Pakistan. Board Chairman Sheharyar Khan said he hoped more cricket teams would visit Pakistan. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has claimed that the Pakistan-Zimbabwe cricket series has proved that the people of Pakistan are peaceful and love cricket and that enthusiasm of the people during the cricket series was worth seeing and they fully enjoyed the game. He also thanked the Zimbabwean Cricket Board and the players, saying they had shown courage by playing cricket series in Pakistan.
