Security around US consulate beefed up

The adjoining roads leading to US Consulate in Karachi were blocked on Thursday in view of security threats on the Christmas Day. Stringent security arrangements were made as containers were placed on My Kolachi Road. The roads leading to churches in Garden area and Aga Khan Street were closed for traffic.
Traffic police advised motorists to take alternative routes to avoid facing any inconvenience. Security of churches was also given under the control of Pakistan Rangers in different cities to cope with any untoward incident.
