On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX) value traded was PKR 3.201 billion as compared to PKR 2.53 billion reported on Monday, an increase of 26 percent. The number of lots traded also increased by 49 percent to 21,798 from 14,637. PMEX Commodity Index closed at 2,611. Major business was contributed by crude oil amounting to PKR 2.217 billion, a 37 percent increase when compared to the previous trading day. This was followed by gold (PKR 830 million) and silver (PKR 154 million).
