All Karachi Tajir Ittehad (AKTI) on Tuesday announced to observe three-day mourning to condemn the terrorists who killed over 130 schoolchildren in Peshawar. Talking to Business Recorder Chairman AKTI, Atiq Mir said: "We are deeply saddened by the militants' raid on a school to kill over 130 children".
He said the traders will hoist black flags to signify their mourning and expression of resentment against the militants. "Candles will also be lit in different markets to show sympathy with the victim children and their teachers," he said, adding that the traders deeply felt the bloodshed in Peshawar.
"We also condemned the brazen attack on innocent schoolchildren and therefore condole with their parents and families who suffered huge and irreparable loss at the hands of militants," he said. He said markets will however remain open during mourning as well. "There is a difference of opinion amongst traders whether we should keep markets shut during the mourning days," he added.
