ECP officially notifies names of caretaker CMs Punjab, Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday officially notified the names of caretaker chief ministers of Punjab and Balochistan.

According ECP notification, the commission unanimously decided to appoint Prof Hasan Askari Rizvi as caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.

In another notification, the commission also appointed Allauddin Marri as caretaker chief minister of Balochistan.

The commission said that the notifications were issued pursuant to the provisions of clause (3) of article 224A of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and as a result of detailed deliberations on Thursday.
