District administration arrested 38 persons as the crackdown against profiteers was extended to suburban areas of the city. According to details, on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Syed Zaheer-ul-Islam, Additional Assistant Commissioners (AACs) conducted raids in suburban localities of Mathani,
Sheikhan, Sarband, Peshtakhara and Scheme Chowk and arrested 38 profiteers including fresh milk sellers and butcher. Meanwhile, the administration also sealed four ice factories working without installation of filtration plant. The factories were situated at Kohat Road while four persons including Mohammad Idrees son of Anwar Ali, Mohammad Ikram son of Mohammad Zahid, Mohammad Amin son of Mohammad Nazir and Irfan son of Fazal Rahim were arrested.
