Azam assumes charge as acting secretary for information

Mohammad Azam assumed charge as Acting Secretary Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage on Tuesday. He joined Information Services of Pakistan after qualifying CSS in 1981. He served as Principal Information Officer (PIO), Joint Secretary (IB&NH), Director General (Cyber Wing), Director General External Publicity Wing, Director General Internal Publicity and PRO to Prime Minister.
He also served as Press Counsellor at Embassy of Pakistan Berlin, Germany and Press Attache at Embassy of Pakistan Washington, DC, USA. He worked in the United States Congress as Congressional fellow and has post-graduate diploma in International Communication from School of International Service, the American University, Washington DC. He is Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Network Certified.
