Security of jails in Balochistan beefed up: IG

Security of Balochistan's jails has been beefed up to avoid any untoward incident. Talking to media, Inspector General of Balochistan Prisons Bashir Bangulzai said additional personnel of law enforcement agencies have been deployed at and around all six jails of the province. "On the directives of the Home Department, new security plan has been chalked out for the jails," he said.
He noted that Central Jail Mach, District Jail Quetta, Central Jail Gadani and Central Jail Khuzdar have been declared sensitive where security men equipped with latest weapons are on high alert. "We have requested the deployment of Frontier Corps outside the Mach jail from the provincial government," he said, adding response from the Home Department is awaited in this connection.
