Attack on Sri Lankan cricket team: LHC issues notice

A division bench of the Lahore High Court here on Thursday issued notice in a petition of Punjab government praying to cancel the bail of Zubari Ahmed, main accused involved in attack on Sri Lankan cricket team. The bench issuing notice refer the petition to Chief Justice for its disposal by another bench as one of the bench member Justice Abdus Sami Khan refuse to sit in the bench due to his personal reasons.
Earlier prosecutor contended before the court that the respondent Zubair is the main accused and his image was found in the CC footage. He said a policeman had also identified in identification parade. He also informed to the court that another accused involved in attacking GHQ was also arrested on his hint. He contended that the ATC without considering the material produced before it allowed his bail.
