The caretaker government on Tuesday formed a joint investigation team (JIT) to probe the “malicious campaign” on social media against Supreme Court judges, Aaj News reported.

The JIT, which includes members from Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Intelligence Bureaus (IB), Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police, and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), has been tasked to investigate the origins and motives behind the campaign.

Headed by Additional Director-General FIA, the team will identify those who have uploaded material against the judges on social media. Those who run anti-judiciary campaigns on social media will be charged. Cases will be filed in the relevant courts.

The JIT will submit a progress report to the Ministry of Interior within a fortnight.

The hon'ble judges know full well how politicised and corrupt most of them are. The JIT is a waste of time as it will blame it all on IK/PTI instead of the boots & co., the real culprits.

Another blow to the freedom of speech. The JIT should take into consideration Mr. Isa's remarks" if you cannot stand the heat you should not be in the kitchen". The judges should not be in the kitchen if they cannot stand the heat.

Our right to vote, given by the constitution, can be taken away by 3 judges, but we cannot say that this judgement against our right to vote is not acceptable to we the people.

The government want to violet the human rights and also wants people to accept the violations with gratitude.

I am reminded of the book 'Animal Farm' by George Orwell. In some ways it mirrors what is happening in our farm. The 'constitution' and its [amendments] were as follows: 1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. 2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. 3. No animal shall wear clothes. 4. No animal shall sleep in a bed [with sheets]. 5. No animal shall drink alcohol [to excess]. 6. No animal shall kill any other animal [without cause]. 7. All animals are equal [but some are more equal than others].
