KARACHI: Members of Malaysia-Pakistan Business Council (MPBC) have elected office bearers and executive committee of the council for the 2021-2023 in its annual general meeting (AGM) held virtually.

MPBC was established in 2010 with the initiative of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malaysia (NCCIM). MPBC is a trade & business association representing almost 200 members with an annual turnover of more than Malaysian Ringgits (RM) 1.50 Billion which contributes to national income and bilateral trade between Malaysia and Pakistan.

The 9th Annual General Meeting of Malaysia-Pakistan Business Council (MPBC) was recently held virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic and total lockdown nationwide in Malaysia.

MPBC’s members, elected unopposed new executive committee for tenure 2021-2023. The members re-elected its Chairman Dato’ Seri Nazir Meraslam, a well established businessman engaged in construction sector & as MPBC’s Vice Chairman Usman Ahmed, who is managing director & CEO from renowned Palm Oil base manufacturing industry. A renowned businessman in Malaysia, Mohammad Amin Ali Sidik has been elected as a Secretary.
