KARACHI: Spokesperson of Sindh Government and Advisor for Law, Environment & Coastal Development Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that irregularities amounting to Rs 270 billion have come to light in the government of Angels. They should respond to the billions of rupees lost in the Chinese drug scandal. The PTI government and mafia have formed an alliance. Corruption and PTI are inseparable from each other.

He was addressing a press conference at Sindh Assembly Media Corner on Thursday. He said that due to the ongoing corruption in the country, it now seems that PTI and corruption are inseparable and PTI corruption should also be investigated.

He said that Imran Khan's conduct suggests that he is not the Prime Minister of the country but the Leader of the Opposition. But there is no justification for objecting.

He said that the environment department has started palm plantation in Thatta district. This plantation does not exist in Pakistan and four billion dollars are spent annually to import palm oil.

He said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto had a dream. He said that palm oil trees should be planted in Pakistan. Palm oil trees were planted in Kathor area of Thatta, palm oil trees have now started bearing fruits. He said that the quality of palm oil in Pakistan is similar to other countries including Malaysia. "Heavy machinery has arrived from China. We will start extracting oil from palm oil fruits next month. More palm oil trees should be planted on 1,500 acres of land so that we can get rid of palm oil imports," he said.

The Sindh government's efforts will reduce spending by billion a year. Replying to a question, he said that the government has escaped the challenge of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said that the country is currently in crisis but the government does not care about this situation. Flour is a crisis of sugar petroleum products, sugar has reached Rs 90 per kg due to support to mafia, the Prime Minister has also taken notice but despite this the poor man is being exploited. He said that the people are still on these issues. No response was received.

Murtaza Wahab alleged that the Prime Minister was directly involved in the sugar scandal. He said that the reduction in petroleum prices did not benefit the poor. The people suffered and the mafia benefited.

He said that mafias are part of PTI federal government. If mafias were not part of PTI, the price of wheat and sugar medicines would not have gone up. He said that PTI should first decide whether they want legislation through parliament or someone else.

He said that PTI had dissolved the local bodies in Punjab but they did not remove the mayor of Karachi and Hyderabad despite political differences. Replying to a question, he said that he did not take the words of the governor seriously.

He said that the Prime Minister took notice of the sugar and a wave of happiness ran in the sugar mafia. The Prime Minister took notice of K Electric and a wave of happiness ran in their ranks. Action has also been taken against hoarders and profiteers through commissioners.
