42 more deaths take Sindh's death toll to 1614

  • 1388 people tested positive for the novel virus.

Sindh reported on Tuesday 42 more deaths due to coronavirus taking the toll to 1614.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said the death rate of the province increased from 1.6% to 1.7% after new deaths were reported.

He further said in the last 24 hours,1388 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Sindh has so far recorded 97,626, cases.

Covid-19: Umar slams Sindh government

In the last three days, 215 Sindh Police personnel have contracted the virus. The total number of officers in Sindh to test positive for the virus are 1,885.

16 police officials have passed away from the virus while 446 have recovered, the Sindh Police spokesperson said.
