Former Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Syed Munawar Hasan passed away on Friday after undergoing treatment for the past few weeks.
According to the party,the former chief was very sick and was under treatment at a hospital in Karachi for the past few days.
Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif has offered his condolences to Hasan's family and party workers.
