Snapchat to undergo major changes after its redesign
Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel has declared that the app will undergo major changes as it is going to be redesigned in order to make it easier to use.
Spiegel, who is also the founder of Snapchat, accepted the fact that there are complaints regarding the app that it is difficult to use. Thus, they will redesign the app completely in order to solve the issue.
“One thing that we have heard over the years is that Snapchat is difficult to understand or hard to use and our team has been working on responding to this feedback. As a result, we are currently redesigning our application to make it easier to use,” Spiegel said.

The new design, however, is not going to be some little changes in the app; the entire app will undergo a change and will be revamped. However, the company is not sure about the response of its users but are all set to take the big risk, reported Tech Juice.
“There is a strong likelihood that the redesign of our application will be disruptive to our business in the short term, and we don’t yet know how the behavior of our community will change when they begin to use our updated application. We’re willing to take that risk for what we believe are substantial long term benefits to our business,” stated Spiegel.
The stories feed will also go through a major change as the users can get their personalized stories with their own user experience. “We are developing a new solution that provides each of our 178 million daily active users with their own Stories experience, leveraging the tremendous benefits of machine learning without compromising the editorial integrity of the Stories platform that we have worked so hard to build.”
As Business Insider reports, Snapchat has not given any specific date as to when the design would come out but it has mentioned that the design would be rolled for specific users at first before being available worldwide.
“We don't know how it's going to play out. But, over time we’ve learned not to be fearful of making big product changes that we think are in the best interest of our community,” exclaimed Spiegel.
