ISLAMABAD: The second hearing conducted by the Panama case implementation bench on the findings of the Joint investigation Team (JIT) has been adjourned until tomorrow, July 18.

In today's hearing, the three member special implementation bench heard the cases of the opposition counsel, whereas tomorrow respondents will present their case before the court.

Supreme Court had resumed the court proceedings  today (Monday) as the Panama case is entering the final phase this week probing the Sharif family’s financial assets.

The special bench, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and comprising Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed began proceedings of the mega corruption case today morning after 9:30am.

In the hearing, the counsel for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Naeem Bukhari presented his arguments in favour of the Panama case Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report in the Supreme Court.

Pleading for Prime Minister's disqualification, Bukhari claimed that the Sharif family has failed to prove their statements and has more assets than their income.

Earlier, the Sharif family and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar submitted their objections on the JIT report to the court. Sharif family's counsel Khawaja Harris will later present his arguments against the JIT report.
