More thunderstorms likely in Karachi this week

According to weather forecast, more rain/thunder-showers with gusty winds are expected in Karachi this week, most probably on Thursday.

The seasonal low lies over northeast Balochistan which is why weak monsoon currents are still penetrating in north-eastern parts of the country and are likely to continue, as per the synoptic situation.

It is predicted that this week on Thursday, the temperature will drop to 32 Celsius along with isolated thunderstorms in the city.

Karachi received heavy downpour previous week that smoothed the extreme heat prevailing in the city.

The last recorded rainfall in previous week in Karachi has been 62mm in North Karachi, Saddar 59, Faisal base 56, Masroor, Nazimabad 51, Gulshan e Hadid 49, Model Observatory 39 and Landhi 22.
