The Acting Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Milat, Rifat Fatima in occupied Kashmir, has strongly condemned arrest of the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Mohammad Yasin Malik, the Jammu and Kashmir Co-ordination Committee member, Maulana Showkat Ahmad Shah and Hurriyet leader, Ghulam Nabi Sumji.
Rifat Fatima in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir couldn't be forced to submission by the use of brutal force, KMS reported. She said that the government of India started arrests soon after announcement of so-called elections in the occupied territory and put army on high alert to muzzle the voice of people against polls and its illegal occupation on Kashmir.
India, she said, should understand that it would not succeed in muzzling voice of the people through inhuman and unjustified means adding that New Delhi has failed to suppress Kashmiris' aspirations during the past 61 years.
