imageCOLOMBO: Bangladesh inched closer towards their 191-run target and a historic victory over Sri Lanka, reaching 156-4 at tea on the fifth day of the second Test in Colombo on Sunday.

The tourists need just 35 runs in the final session to clinch a win in their 100th Test match, buoyed by Tamim Iqbal who scored 82 after Bangladesh suffered two early wickets.

Dilruwan Perera eventually broke Tamim's stubborn 109-run partnership with Sabbir Rahman (41).

Earlier, Perera scored a half century in Sri Lanka's 319 runs in their second innings after the hosts resumed play on 268-8.

Sri Lanka lead the two-Test series 1-0 thanks to their 259-run win in the first Test in Galle.
