The US News and World Report released its latest edition of Best Countries 2017, under which Pakistan is placed at the 20th spot out of 80 countries, when it comes to power.
As per the edition, 80 countries are evaluated on a wide range of criteria including citizenship, adventure, open for business, quality of life and cultural history. Power is one the major markers of this study.
A set of 65 country attributes terms that can be used to describe a country and that are also relevant to the success of a modern nation were identified. Attributes by nation were presented in a survey of more than 21,000 people from across the globe. Participants assessed how closely they associated an attribute with a nation, stated the report methodology.
Pakistan however, is placed 74th in the Overall Rankings. High ranking in the Power marker is due to strong military and political influence.
Whereas, US was perceived as the most powerful in the world, followed closely by Russia and China. Other countries included on the top 20 are India, Turkey, and Israel.
