imagePakistan hard hitting batsman Umar Akmal has had a long history of getting compared with Indian batsman Virat Kohli. The younger Akmal though believes that he is not the right choice to be compared with the batting maestro.

Talking to media, the Lahore Qalandars middle order batsman was of the view that Kohli should be compared with Pakistan latest batting prodigy Babar Azam.

"Compare Kohli with Babar Azam who is doing well on three, he is in great form so you can compare him with Babar and not me," said Akmal, quoted Gulf News.

And Akmal has a point, as he believes that the differnat batting slots the two batsmen bats on makes a huge difference. Virat Kohli has been the consistent number three for India since making his debut, while Akmal is stationed at number six for Pakistan.

"When people compare me with Kohli, its a matter of number. Since Kohlis debut he is batting at number three and I have been batting at number six. Let me play at No. 3 slot and him on six then compare me with him."

Virat Kohli has played a lot more cricket then Umar Akmal. He has scored 4,451 runs from 54 Test matches, while Akmal has got to play in only 16 Test matches with 1003 runs in the kitty. Furthermore, Kohlis has amassed 7,755 runs from 179 matches with a batting average of well above 50 as compared to Akmal who has scored 3,044 runs in 116 ODIs.
