DUBAI: Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by nine wickets in the second Test at Dubai Stadium here on Saturday to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Pakistan, set a victory target of 94 from a possible 24 overs, reached the target for the loss of Taufiq Umar (one), with Mohammad Hafeez (59) and Azhar Ali (29) remaining unbeaten.

Off-spinner Saeed Ajmal took 5-68 to help Pakistan dismiss Sri Lanka for 257 in their second innings. The first Test had ended in draw at Abu Dhabi, while the third and final Test starts in Sharjah on November 3.
