The University of Oxford is regarded as one of the most prestigious institution of higher learning in the world; it is constantly ranked as the top university and is a dream come true for any student who gets enrolled in it.
Now, thanks to technology anyone can study from the highest ranked university in the world, and that is too for free.
Oxford in line with prestigious institutions like Berkeley, Harvard and MIT is offering free massive open online courses (MOOCs). The courses will begin from February 2017, Oxford University will partner with nonprofit online learning platform edX to teach a freely available economics class titled, "From Poverty to Prosperity: Understanding Economic Development."
Enrolment for the six-week class is open now, reported Digital Trends. One who signs up for the course would have to spend two to three hours a week on studies. More, than that one does not need to have any specific academic qualifications as well.
This course will be headed by Sir Paul Collier of Blavatnik School of Government. The course will examine the role that governments play in boosting economic development within a country, read the Oxfords official statement.
