Shell Pakistan on Friday donated Rs one million for conservation of Rohtas Fort (1541 A.D.) by the Himalayan Wildlife Foundation. The cheque was presented by Shell Pakistan Chairman Farooq Rahmatullah for the project, which is being supported by Shell Pakistan, Ministry of Culture, and National Fund for Cultural Heritage.
Speaking at the occasion, Farooq Rahmatullah said, that Shell is committed to support projects of cultural heritage and conservation like Rohtas Fort and Mohattas Palace.
He said it is also supporting environment projects like mangroves conservation. These efforts, he said, are part of Shell's global policy to support sustainable development projects.
