Government to expand crop maximisation project

The government has decided to expand Crop Maximisation Project to 1000 villages of the country in a bid to enhance productivity of agriculture sector on sustainable basis.
The main objectives of the project are to increase food production through enhancing crop productivity, ensure food security and alleviate the poverty through improving income of small farmers and build a sustainable mechanism to ensure continuity for the productivity enhancement food security programme even after termination of the project.
