Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is organising a "Telecom Forum" on Monday at Quetta with an aim to discuss the development of telecom sector in Balochistan and to spread telecom services to far-off areas of the province. Balochistan Governor Owais Ahmed Ghani would be the chief guest at this occasion.
Chairman PTA Major General Shahzada Alam Malik (Retd) would present a detailed account of the telecom sector progress in Balochistan over the past few years.
During the forum, representatives of major mobile and fixed-line operators will give detail presentations on their present and future plans for the betterment of telecom services in the province.
PTA is organising Telecom Forums at all four provincial capitals and the one being organised at Quetta is the first of the series while second will be held at Karachi on August 24.
