Islamabad police Friday presented a progress report before the Supreme Court on the ongoing investigation against the accused involved in making a fake order of the apex court.
The bench comprising Justice Hamid Ali Mirza and Muhammad Nawaz Abbasi directed the SHO Secretariat police station to complete the probe and submit a challan as soon as possible.
The police have arrested five accused including an advocate who dictated the fake decision and four others, Hassan Rafique Dilbar, Akbar, Anwar and Riaz.
According to the report a sub-inspector had recovered four seals stamped on the forged order CPLA No-109 of 2004 from the house of Mst Naseem, wife of Abdul Hameed, resident of Dilawar Colony in Bahawalpur.
The investigation officer also recovered three other seals and documents.
The seal of the Supreme Court was stolen from the office of its Bench in Lahore and attested by the accused himself, the report said.
The remaining three seals were got prepared by the accused from Neela Gumbad and Urdu Bazar in Lahore.
According to the FIR two persons presented before the Revenue Department a copy of a decision of the Supreme Court in a revenue matter which was found to be fake.
The Punjab Revenue Department sent a copy of the document received from Anwar and Riaz for verification, leading to the registration of FIR with the Secretariat police station. Assistant Advocate General Punjab, Syed Sajjad Hussain appeared before the court on behalf of the provincial government.
