Futures moved higher on the forward cottonseed oilcake market on Thursday as fears of short supply position pushed the buyers to cover the forward buying, dealers said. The December vaida commenced on firm note at Rs 422.50 that proved to be day's lowest also, dealers said.
In the process of trading it gained Rs 1.90 to be day's best at Rs 424.40 and market closed at Rs 424.30.
The next January vaida followed suit and opened unchanged at Rs 424.00 which proved to be day's lowest at the same level. Later, it picked up Rs 4 to be day's best at Rs 428.00 and market settled at Rs 427.00.
