imagePakistan fast-bowlers Mohammad Irfan and Umar Gul are not likely to make the one-day international (ODI) squad, with Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Rahat Ali, Sohail Khan and Hassan Ali left to fight for the four pace slots against West Indies in the upcoming series in United Arab Emirates.

According to local media reports, Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq is expected to travel to the UAE on Monday and announce the team after a final consultation with head coach Mickey Arthur.

An official close to the matter told The Express Tribune that several changes have been made to the squad that lost the ODI series to England by a 4-1 margin last month.

Despite winning the one-off T20I against England, Pakistan's limited-overs game - particularly their batting, appears to be in need of a reboot. However, Pakistan cricket coach Mickey Arthur has said the team needs to start playing fearlessly if it is to have any hopes of succeeding in one-day cricket.

The green shirts will face World Champions West Indies in a three-match T20 series starting with back to back fixtures at the Dubai Cricket Stadium on the 23rd and 24th of September while the third T20 will be played on September 27th in Abu Dhabi.
