Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, has said Bab-e-Pakistan project would be reflective of national identity, Islamic history and Pakistan Movement and President General Pervez Musharraf would lay the foundation stone of the project next month. He was talking to Corps Commander Lahore, Lieutenant General Shahid Aziz Khan who called on him at the Chief Minister's House, here on Saturday.
Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Rasool, Chairman Planning and Development Sibtain Fazal Haleem, Principal Secretary Finance Salman Saddique, Director General LDA Tauqir Ahmad and Secretary Information Taimur Azmat Osman were present on this occasion.
The Chief Minister said Bab-e-Pakistan project would prove to be of great significance with regard to apprising younger generation of various aspects of national history and would also revive the memories of the supreme sacrifices made for freedom by our forefathers and the heroic struggle of leaders of Pakistan movement.
He said Bab-e-Pakistan project would depict the culture of all the four provinces and would play an important role in creating awareness about our national objectives as well as promoting national solidarity and cohesion.
