Sialkot district administration has finalised necessary measures to cope with any eventuality during the monsoon season, official sources told Business Recorder here on Saturday that Sialkot district has been divided into 12 sectors and 30 sub-sectors while 30 relief camps have also been established in the district.
Tehsil Daska has been divided into five sectors and seven sub-sectors, Sambrial tehsil into three sectors and five sectors, Pasrur tehsil into two sectors and one sub-sector and Sialkot tehsil in two sectors and ten sub-sectors sources added. In addition to this, Sialkot city, Hajipura and Bhed Nullah protective bunds had been constructed for protecting the Sialkot city and its adjoining areas from floods.
Sources revealed that district flood control centre has also ready been functioning round the clock. All seasonal nullahs passing through the district were flowing normally in their receptive beds so far and concerned staff vigilantly monitoring all seasonal nullahs and rive Chanab passing through the district sources added.
