Mujibur Rehman has been elected unopposed as the president of Pakistan Association of Press Photographers (PAAP) for the year 2005-06. A PAAP statement on Monday said Mujib has been elected president of the organisation for the fifth term. Syed Shariful Hassan has been elected unopposed for the post of general secretary.
Other office-bearers elected were: Naqeebur Rehman (vice-president), Muhammad Irshad (joint secretary) and Muhammad Adeel Khan (treasurer).
Faheem Raza, Rizwan Tabassum, Muhammad Athar Khan, Khurrum Sharif and Hamid Hussain were elected as members of the managing committee.
Meanwhile, Shaikh Manzar Alam has been elected as the vice-president of Pakistan Press Photographers Trust (PPPT).
S.H. Hashmi is the life president of the PPPT, a statement of PAAP said. It said Mujibur Rehman has been elected as the secretary of PPPT.
Syed Shariful Hassan has been elected as joint secretary and Muhammad Adeel Khan as the treasurer of PPPT.
Trustees will be Moinul Haq, Saeed Khan Naqeebur Rehman, Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad Farid Khan and Rizwan Tabassum.
