Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim said here on Sunday night that he had been successful in bringing about agreement for peace between the Mehar and Jatoi tribes. He said that the agreement would hold, and now any person violating the agreement would be proceeded against under the law. He was talking to a local TV channel about the outcome of his negotiations and the Jirga held to settle the tribal dispute between Mehar and Jatoi tribes.
Rahim said that as Chief Minister, law and order and its maintenance in Sindh was his responsibility which was why he moved in the matter and held talks between the two tribes' Jirga and effected peace between the two tribes.
