The Karachi police claimed having killed five dacoits in encounter in Defence area of Karachi on Sunday morning. Town Police Officer Clifton Imran Shaukat said patrolling police saw some suspects climbing wall of a house in Defence early on Sunday. The police encircled the area but bandits opened fire on police that was retaliated resulting in death of five bandits on the spot. No policeman was injured. Police also recovered arms from their possession.
During the encounter, more police contingents were called who cordoned the entire area and conducted search of any other bandit.
